Great experience. Because you’re working with lice animals, they cannot control when the mantas show up. The crew did everything in their power to make us have a good experience and we got an up close and personal encounter.
Highly recommend. Must do when you’re on the big island.

Unique and magical experience

Kind, attentive staff with a fun sense of humor. Everyone seemed knowledgeable and all about your safety and comfort. The experience was fantastic, got to see many mantas, although the ride along peeps weren't able to see them the night we were out... I suspect due to the very choppy water conditions that kicked up some cloudiness

This was the most amazing experience. The manta rays were so close, it was beautiful to be so close to such a gentle creature of the wild. The crew were great, welcoming, informative and the safety of all including the manta rays was their priority. This is MUST DO experience.

Amazing experience! The Manta Ray was literally next to my face! Despite raining heavily the crew was very professional in keeping everyone safe and ensure we had a great experience. There was so many Manta Rays and every second we keep seeing one under the water.

It is definitely going to be variable, they're wild animals after all. We talked to people on the plane home who saw 1 ray the whole time and we got lucky with 8-10. Just like whale watching, the people driving the boat can't control whether the animals show up.
Be prepared for your arms to get tired.
But it was really, really cool.
On top of everything, the company was very cool about me being an idiot and accidentally booking the wrong date. I called them from the dock while the first cruise was boarding and they accommodated us on the second cruise that night.

This was just the most incredible experience. First watching the sun set into the ocean was mesmerizing. It was a short boat ride to where we got in the water to see the manta rays. It was a little scary being in the ocean in the dark (and a little cold) but the crew is absolutely fantastic. They are right there every step helping you feel comfortable and safe. They aren't kidding when they say the manta rays swim right up to you - like an inch from your face sometimes! It's incredible! They are so graceful and gentle. It was just more than I can describe. I will say that it is a little hard to hang onto the platform. My shoulders got tired and sore. But small price to pay for what you get to experience. And i need to mention the crew again. They were fun and friendly and knowledgeable and they just made everything completely perfect. Such a great experience.

If you’re on the big island you have to do the manta ray dive! And you won’t be disappointed if you choose Sea Paradise. Top notch in every aspect.

Saw many rays coming up to eat the plankton drawn by the lighting. They were huge - about 6' - 8' in wingspan. At times two would come up together and do barrel rolls away from each other 3 inches from our faces. Extraordinary.

Wonderful evening with friends. The crew was amazing and very informative. It was about a 15 minute boat ride out to the site. The manta rays were so fun to watch. Highly recommend going.
