Set Sail down the Majestic Kona Coastline with breathtaking views of landscaped ledges of ancient lava flows. As you arrive at the "World Famous Captain Cook Monument" your snorkeling adventure will begin in the turquoise waters and vibrant reef of the marine sanctuary of Kealakekua Bay. Make sure to bring an underwater camera to capture the colorful schools of fish, pods of spinner dolphins that are also commonly spotted in the bay. “Hawaii The Big Island Revealed” guide book says, “snorkeling in Kealakekua Bay near the monument is perhaps the best you will find anywhere in the state”.

Great snorkeling experience with a super crew!

This was an awesome snorkeling trip. The water was among the best I have snorkeled in. Lots of sea life. The crew was friendly and helpful. We are in our 60’s and my wife had never gone snorkeling in open water before. After about 10 minutes she got relaxed and oriented and took off like a pro. Highly recommend doing this!

We’ve snorkeled in Aruba, the Dominican and Mexico, by far this experience was the best and it wasn’t just for the marine life or the location. The crew was kind, focused on safety, appreciated the ocean environment, shared great information about the Island history and traditions, and best yet, the boat was pristine. Captain and crew were all friendly, helpful, and fantastic! Reef safe sunscreen is provided on the boat with plenty of time to apply and allow it to settle before reaching the first snorkeling site so, passengers don’t even have to worry about having some on beforehand. The boat ride out to the snorkeling locations provided a relaxing journey along scenic shores; or, on the other side of the boat, riders could enjoy the majestic view of an open ocean. Both snorkeling sites were beautiful and the lunch far exceeded my expectations! My only wish is that the snorkeling time was extended in Kealakekua Bay. It was such an enthralling location deserving of more time to explore and admire the amazing wildlife in that exceptionally beautiful and teeming reef! On our way to Kealakekua Bay, the staff also had some fun knowledge they shared with us about the history of the bay, both in the context of the native Hawaiians and, of course, Captain Cook. It was truly an amazing experience, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect mixture of relaxation and exploration!

The crew was friendly, top-notch, organized, and professional. Snorkel equipment worked, was clean, and looked newer. The food was plentiful and delicious. The ride was smooth, beautiful, and relaxing. The two snorkeling sessions were the right amount of time. I appreciated the fact that they did a roll call and head count after each snorkel trip.
Amazing Whales and Reef Snorkeling

A fantastic trip with Captain Morgan as our guide! We really enjoyed our Sea Paradise Catamaran that took us snorkeling and a sea watch. The Captain found us at least a dozen whales, which we saw breaching, slapping, and diving. We got to snorkel on some young growth reefs, then out of the blue he spotted a 10 foot Hammerhead Shark that floated near us. Finally, we finished at Captain Cook’s reef. Meanwhile the crew did an excellent job of giving us an education to the area and the marine life. They really spent time caring for us in and out of the water. Finally, they fed us well and were so kind and thoughtful. A definite trip to do. Don’t miss it!

This is an excellent tour. The weather was not perfect, but we still saw plenty of fish, and enjoyed the whole experience. The crew were extremely helpful and knowledgable. The access to the water from the boat is very easy even for old people! Would recommend this experience to anyone.

Capt Mike and the entire crew made our trip safe and exhilarating. The boat is the perfect size for stability and room to enjoy 360 degrees of the beautiful scenes. We were delivered an extra extra surprise with close whale sighting all day. The snorkeling was of course great. We are in Hawaii ……

Beautiful new catamaran with pleasant & professional crew! Rolls & fruit for breakfast & delicious sandwiches for lunch. Snorkeled 2 areas in the Captain Cook monument area & saw a humpback whale on the return trip. Beautiful views of the coastline.
