Drawing on years of experience, our captains and crew will take you up close and personal with the dolphin. As we search for these beautiful creatures in the warm tropical waters off the coast, our crew will share their knowledge about these fascinating creatures, how they live and their role in the ocean’s ecosystem. Nearly every day, year-round we are able to encounter these beautiful animals in their natural habitat.

This was a great time for all of us! Our group had a wide range of swimming experience and the guides were very helpful. We all felt safe and enjoyed the amazing snorkeling! This turned out to be one of our favorite days!

This was a wonderful experience for our family, including my 7 year old twins. We chose this outing because of the sea-life component as our kids love all animals. Not only did we see pods of spinner dolphins, but we also saw a pod of pilot whales, which I understand is a rare experience. It was mesmerizing! The snorkeling at the Captain Cook monument was great too. It was my kids' first experience with snorkeling and they loved it. A great experience to cap off our Hawaiian vacation!

I loved the respect that Captain Mano and his daughter have for the dolphins and sea environment, as well as their expertise in Polynesian Hawaiian island history. It was an extremely educational tour AND fun!
The following isn't a review of Dolphin Adventures (they are tremendously respectful and appropriate in their actions) but rather of the overall tour operator industry. There are simply too many tour operators and others visiting the bay at the Captain Cook Monument. It would be wonderful if the tour operators would form a professional society to self-regulate their use of such sites in hopes that it would better protect them and create some incentives for sensitive use behavior while at these sites. For example, diving off the tour boats too close to the snorkel area should be banned - there is absolutely no reason those boats couldn't move out further in the bay for that dangerous and disrespectful activity.

Captain Alan and Seth were amazing. We learned so much on the tour. The snorkeling was phenomenal and the snacks were delicious. We had a fantastic time as a family and I overcame a 30+ year-old fear after a semi-traumatic experience on Oahu. Thank you both for your kindness and the awesome day!!

Seth and Al were great! We had a group of 4 and 2 other passengers. Lots of beautiful fish and scenery you can’t see from driving the island. Small raft type boat that you sit on the rubber sides and hold the ropes. Fun adventure, we all had a blast!

Great day on the water with Captain Chad! While we no longer swim in the wild with the dolphins on this adventure - we did see a bunch of dolphins as well as hump back whales.
The snorkeling is fantastic, and the amount of historical information that Chad shared made for a great day.

Really enjoyed our boat and snorkel adventure. The crew were very helpful, instructive and fun. We had a large group of varying experience and swimming skill and the crew had the equipment to be very accommodating for all. It was my first time snorkeling and I felt very prepared to go in the water. The snorkeling was amazing! So many types of beautiful fish and other marine life. The only downside was that originally part of our group was doing the kayak and snorkel and it had to be cancelled at the last minute. But the owner worked with us and offered various options and was able to work our entire group onto the boat tour. As an extra bonus we saw a mom and newborn whale on our way back to the harbor. Wonderful trip!

Had an awesome time with Captain Chad and Seth snorkeling at Cap'n Cook while we were in Kona. We saw whales (on the trips in and out), dolphins, and lots of beautiful fish in the bay. We also saw sites only really appreciated from the sea and learned quite a bit about Hawaiian culture on the trip back especially. All in all, a great time! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys a fun time on the waves and in the water.
