En Kaimana Ocean Safari, lo guiarán guías oceánicos, capitanes de botes y fotógrafos submarinos capacitados profesionalmente para observar e interactuar con varios animales salvajes a lo largo de la costa de Kona. Nuestro barco solo tiene capacidad para 6 personas como máximo, por lo que supera la típica trampa para turistas de grandes barcos para una experiencia más íntima. Nos acercamos a nuestros tours únicos al estilo "safari", lo que significa que cubrimos vastas áreas de la costa en busca de vida marina a bordo de nuestro barco. Aperitivos

This was an absolutely amazing experience! Our captain Brenna did an outstanding job in addition to Mori who guided us through the Ocean Safari. Highly recommend 10/10 must do while you are visiting. A great mix of a fun/enjoyable boat day, snorkeling and seeing a variety of ocean wildlife!

The Ocean Safari was an amazing experience! The boat’s captain, Brenna, did an incredible job piloting the boat and had an eye for spotting rare wildlife. The entire crew from the beginning emphasized safety and responsible interactions with ocean creatures. I can tell that the crew members are passionate and enjoy sharing the experience with all participants onboard. I can’t recommend this enough.
Best Big Island Adventure

The family had the best time! We saw it all! Pilot Whales, Mantas, Tiger Sharks, False Killer-Whales and multiple species of dolphin. Olivia and Cam were great hosts and the small boat experience was top notch. My 10 year old described it as one of the best days of his life. So glad we booked this trip.

This was an incredible experience!!! We had some awim
bys from false killer whales, got to swim with manta rays as well as swimming with an adolescent shark. Also had an incredible interaction above the surface with false killer whales and watched them interacting with a humpback. Saw tons of humpbacks and a pod of spinner dolphins as well. I’ve done a fair amount of dives and ocean adventures but I’d have to say this was hands down one of my absolute favorite days out on the water! Everyone was so great and these folks really care about our oceans and have a passion to share it with others! Can’t say enough great things about these folks and my time spent with them! Mahalo for such an incredible and rewarding experience and thank you for being such great advocates for our oceans!

Kaimana guides have snacks, and are equipment ready. Knowledgeable patient and kind for our group of newbies. Respectful of wildlife and regulations. Would absolutely book again.

Really wonderful experience, we were so blessed by the wildlife we saw on the trip which although that is completely outside of the control of the amazing guides, i do believe we would have had an amazing trip no matter what. The small group setting let them be flexible in the animals we were looking for and they are all so knowledgable that it was super enjoyable to be around them. 1000x better than any other boating/whale watching tour I have ever been on, worth every penny.

There's a lot to like about this experience, so we definitely suggest doing it.
The boat is great and the staff clearly care about their mission. And when you have their attention, they're super friendly and make sure you have a great experience.
And they don't control the wildlife, so you can't really judge them on this. But for us, on our trip, the sightings were great! You may not be so lucky, but that's not their fault...they do their best to ensure you see as much as possible.
So why just a 4* rating? Honestly, I think it was just unlucky timing. On our tour there was some researcher with a big Instagram following and his significant other there. The staff spent a ton of time talking to them and not with us, it was clear they were important or something. Which I understand. But it did reduce the time and attention we got from the staff, which is a bummer because they really did seem like wonderful and fun people. They also had very strict rules about how you are supposed to act in the water, which is amazing because it ensures everyone gets a good experience while respecting the animals...but for some reason this researcher didn't have to follow the same rules, so often we'd be by the guide doing what we're supposed to, and the researcher would be plowing ahead going to within inches of the animal to get great photos. This would scare the animals away from us, and in turn we'd get great photos of the back of the researcher and not much more.
Again, despite that, we still gave this a 4* because we really do think we just happened to go on the wrong day and got unlucky. Without this one issue, it would've quite clearly been a 5* experience. So we suggest you do this tour!

Practice snorkeling first

The tour wasn’t very accommodating for newbies in open water. Probably would have used lifejackets if they were offered but we had to swim a lot in the ocean. Although there were some cool things to see in the water it was harder to enjoy them without experience. The boat was beautiful and we saw amazing Oceanlife once we got the hang of it.
