Under The Sea in Kona

Yesterday on Tuesday 13 September 2022 we arrived at Kona on the island of Hawaii on our 23 Night TransPacific Cruise aboard the Carnival Splendor from Seattle Washington State USA to Sydney Australia.
In Kona we had elected to do the Submarine Adventure and it was worth every red cent.
A trip of a Lifetime in a real Submarine that took us down to the coral reef and then down further still to over 100 feet below the surface.
We passed many different species of reef fish and even sighted a small 4.5 foot white tipped reef shark along side of a sunken sailing yacht. We also cruised over a sunken landing craft like those used on D Day in World War 2 to deposit allied troops onto the beaches of France.
The trip from jetty to submarine via the tender boat took less than 10 minutes and the loading from boat to submarine was done in a safe and sure manner. The tender boat remained out on station during our dive and unloading and return to jetty and shore were also painlessly done.
I especially liked this trip because the reef here was very young and had very little man made damage to it.
If you get the chance to come to Kona, definitely consider this activity as one of your prime bucket list moments.
Thank you for your time. Stay Safe and Happy - Darryl Slattery Ingleburn Sydney Australia.
A must do!

This was absolutely amazing! We saw two ship wrecks and really beautiful fish. Missed the shark but others saw it.
It was a great time....

It was a great time. Really enjoyed the crew and the view. I was surprised at how roomy the sub was, easy to get down the ladder.

Amazing time from start to finish. It was an awesome day, including super friendly and professional staff, an excellently comedic tour guide, and even validated parking. The views were incredible made for a completely unique adventure. 10/10, would submerge again. Mahalo!

All the fish were so beautiful. The shipwrecks were really interesting. All the staff were very helpful and courteous. Jade at the desk was definitely a standout.

The submarine is very nice, not scary at all. Went down to 110 ft. Lots of beautiful fish, even saw a small shark.
A Great Experience

Robert our guide was AWESOME. He knew so much and cracked a lot of jokes. Also, we ran a little late for the 30 minute before check in and they gave me a call to make sure my group was coming. When we got to check in, they were on top of parking validation and bathroom access. Everyone was incredibly nice and had good, fun energy. We're glad we gave this a try, since some of my group is terrified of the ocean and got to enjoy it in the submarine.
Amazing trip worth evert penny!

The trip was so much fun! We saw a large sand shark, 2 stingrays, puffer fish, 2 shipwrecks, a ton of coral and fish. It was amazing!

We liked being able to go down in the sub to see under the water. I was disappointed in the color of the reef and that we didn't see any bigger fish/animals. Going by the sunken ships and hearing the story behind them was awesome.
