With the world-renowned and historic destination of Kealakekua Bay just minutes from our point of departure, the Captain Cook Exclusive is a personal, exciting, and efficient way to see the Bay named one of the world’s best snorkeling locations. Kealakekua Bay is a 315-acre marine sanctuary that boasts incredibly protected waters year round making it the best place in Hawaii for beginning snorkelers.
After a full hour of snorkeling in the crystal clear waters directly in front of the monument to Captain James Cook, you make your way back to Keauhou Bay along the South Kona coastline. Your Captain maneuvers our custom-made vessels into the sea caves at the base of Hualalai, hugging the coast and detailing the culturally significant and geologically fascinating features along the way. Watch for dolphins, whales, sea turtles, and even herds of thousands of goats! If you plan on snorkeling while in Hawaii and want to see what few do, this is the tour for you.

Amazing morning spent with Captain Connery and Crew Jasmine, both very informative and skilled crew. I traveled with my aunt and children (9 & 10), we all felt safe and had fun! I recommend sun hats and long sleeves for the boat ride there and back, it was the only time on island I felt a little burn. Overall great experience that I would repeat and recommend.

We chose SeaQuest for our trip to Capt. Cooks and for our night Manta tour. The captain and crew were amazing on both trips. The boat ride to Capt. Cooks was as amazing as the snorkeling at the cove. We enjoyed our time thoroughly and would go with them again.

Awesome experience! Skyler was an excellent and very informative captain and his co-capitan was great as well.
He exhibited compassion, encouragement and patients, when I was reluctant to go in the water because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to climb the ladder to get back in the boat, due to being quite heavy and self conscious of my size.
BUT I DID IT!!! We had an amazing time and even saw an endangered monk seal on our ride back.

We had an outstanding time with Brendan snorkeling again! He is so knowledgeable about the area, the fish we saw as well as very safe in our travels. Would only go on this snorkeling adventure with Sea Quest and ask for Brendan as our captain!!

We love the Big Island and have been coming here since 2006. One of the activities we love most is snorkeling, whether at the beach or by boat…and we go out with Seaquest every time we visit. The small group makes it personal, the Zodiac boats are a great way to be on the water, and the captain and crew are knowledgeable and fun. Or recent outing (the Captain Cook Express) with Brendon and Adam was another great day!

We had a great experience with Sea Quest and Captain Jill on the Captain Cook Exclusive tour this past week. Captain Jill is chill, patient and knowledgeable. She pointed various sea creatures to us on our way to the snorkeling site and explained the sea caves and lava tubes very well on our way back. We saw lots of fishes and enjoyed every minute of the tour. Would definitely go with them and Captain Jill again!

Captain Lauren and First Mate Adam were great! Informative, helpful and very skillfull maneuvering of the boat made for a wonderful experience and that's without the beautiful marine life! So many varieties to see!!
Amazing Adventure

This was an amazing trip! The fish and coral were colorful and plentiful. The captain was knowledgeable and entertaining. The time in the water was generous. The caves, whale, and manta rays were an added bonus. The fresh fruit, juice, and snacks were just what we all needed after swimming for an hour. This was the highlight of my trip to the Big Island. All the gear (including prescription goggles) was included in the price. I highly recommend this adventure.
Inefficient refund

Our tour was cancelled due to windy weather. The tour provider Sea Quest confirmed with us on the phone that there will be a full refund, but because we booked on Viator, we need to reach out to Viator customer support ourselves to request the refund. Surprised that they didn’t refund directly. It was no big deal but you had to sit down during your vacation, figure out how to contact Viator, then wait to talk to an agent, then explain the issue and ask for the refund.
After that, two other tours from different providers we booked were also canceled due to weather. Both were booked through Viator, and both providers issued us refunds directly. No hustle was required from the customer’s end. Comparing to peers, I think Sea Quest should do better on customers refund experience.
Our snorkeling tour was cancelled on Dec 19. The refund hasn’t show up yet. Will have to dispute the charge if the refund still doesn’t show up after 7 business days.
