You never forget your first wave, as surfing enthusiasts in Hawaii are prone to say, so make sure your first wave is a good one with a small-group surf lesson on the Big Island. This 2-hour Kona surf lesson starts with the basics, like surfing safety, etiquette and how to paddle and pop up on the board. Then take to the water to practice your newfound skills on the waves of Kahalu'u Bay! A knowledgeable surfing instructor will be in the water with you, telling you when to paddle and when to pop up. It’s a Hawaiian experience everyone should try at least once!

Great instructors - they used multiple people to ensure everyone in our group had their best chance to ride a wave. Did a great job breaking down the key points to standing on the board and left a lot of time for actual surfer. Everyone had a blast!

So much fun! I went with the kids- 11 ,13,14 - and caught my first wave! We had absolutely no experience and were all successful before we left. All of the kids wanted to go again, but there wasn't a spot left during our trip. Book ahead, you don't want to miss this! Our instructors rocked, especially Max.

Great safety breifing and diverse knowledge with hands on training before everyone caught some waves. Personal staff and well kept equipment on an roadside view of the Kahalu'u Bay! So big thanks to Cole and Eli for the great training and waves, Mahalo and I hope for more great surf for you guys!
